Church Mission Statement

We, the Glenville Seventh-day Adventist Church are a Bible believing people, who teach the whole gospel of Jesus Christ. We are commissioned by Christ to evangelize our community, utilizing our unique talents, gifts and resources in preparation for His soon return.



From the Pastor

Each one is invited to join us at Prayer Meeting each Wednesday at 7 p.m. Much prayer, much power, little prayer, little power!



Pray for the Bereaved

We note with sadness the passing of Sis. Emma Stansil-Elam, mother of the late Sis. Lillian Moss. Her services were on August 7th at Bethel SDA Church. Condolences may be sent to her son, Mr. Willie Holloway.

Prayer Concerns

Sis. Margaret Bethea will continue to recuperate at home following hospitalization and surgery. No visitors please!

Sis. Georgia Jones will recuperate at home, following a short hospital stay.

We continue to solicit prayer for Sis. JoAnn Long as she is ill at home.

Sis. Evette Scott has some health issues and asks our prayers. Cards of encouragement may be sent to her.

Bro.Terry Roundtree had surgery recently and is recovering nicely at Veteranís Hospital. Pray for a good recovery.

Bro. Harold Williamson has been ill, hospitalized in recent weeks. Pray for his recovery and care.

More About our 90th Anniversary Activities

The absolutely last date for submitting ads/information for our 90th Souvenir Booklet is August 30, 2008. This will allow us to include all who want to participate as well as document all of our 90th Anniversary Celebration activities. Ads may be submitted by e-mail, USB drives, or personally submitted to committee members.



F.Y.I. We Need Your Help!!!

It's Back to School Time Again! We are collecting school supplies to assist our students as they return to class. Please donate the following or funds if you can:
Note book paper, theme note books, pencils, folders, pens, crayons, rulers, erasers, index cards, hand sanitizer, tissues, etc. Contact Eleanor Woods and Dana Davis for donations and bring items to church also. Look for distribution for date.

Oakwood College Days will be held on October 5-7, 2008. Seniors interested in attending may pick up a flier on the table near secretary’s office or see the brochure on bulletin board. If planning to attend OC two items you need are:
- Your official high school transcript for 6 semesters
- A recommendation from a teacher, guidance counselor, principal or pastor.



Church Picnic

In honor of the Glenville SDA Church 90th Anniversary Celebration, the Seniors and Family Life Departments will be hosting a Church Picnic on Sunday, August 17, 2008 at the Denison Park Picnic Shelter. We invite all to attend and participate! There will be games, prizes and good food. If you would like to join us, please refer to our flier located on the table in the hallway next to the secretary's office.



Ramah Jr. Academy News – Mary Conwell, Principal

Orientation for parents and students is tomorrow at 4:00 p.m.

Opening Day of School ñ Monday, August 25th.

Continue to bring the Nestles water bottle labels. We can use them for free equipment, etc.



Nursing Home Ministry - Sis. Doris Hall, leader

On every 3rd Sabbath at 3:30 p.m. we minister at the Indian Hills Nursing Center, 1500 E. 191 St. Please meet our group there at 3:15 p.m.

Anyone interested in working with the Nursing Home Ministry until church elections, should contact Pastor Moore.
